Watched Savarkar movie yesterday, what a fantastic movie!!
After watching the movie, it seems we have been taught the wrong history all our lives. It was not quit India movement in 1942, but Indian naval and airforce mutiny (1946) along with Azad hind force attack led by Subhash Bose from 1942-1945 that crumbled the British down and we won the independence.
That Bhagat Singh, Khudiram Bose, Chandrashekhar Azad all were inspired by Savarkar
That Gandhi is too overrated, and not only Savarkar, but even Ambedkar, Sardar Patel, Subhash Bose all opposed Gandhi and Nehru.
Our real heroes of Indian independence are not just Gandhi and Nehru, but Savarkar,Ambedkar, Patel, Subhash Bose, Bhagat Singh, and all revolutionaries played much bigger role than what history taught us in our school books. Finally the truth is coming out with such fantastic movies. Congress tried to suppress them for decades, but at the end, satyamev Jayate.
Movie ko Sach mat maano. Sach kuch aur hoga.
Mr. Gandhi isn't overrated. No matter who all opposed him, everyone respected him. It is seen in their books, dialogues, autobiographies.
Just because this movie fuels your confirmation bias doesn't necessarily make it true.
I understand we live in a polarized society and now we can't even listen to other side to know if we can be wrong, but world would truly be a better place if we did

For a change, a hindi movie tried to be unbiased, succeeds and stayed off from controversies.
Why is it so difficult to understand that all these people co existed, had different way of thinking, indulged in thoughtful arguments and had respect for each other.
I agree the way hooda portrayed gandhi n savarkar's dislike for each other's views yet they do not indulge in mud slinging whenever they face each other.
Did they show how he begged for mercy from the British and pledged allegiance to them while in Kaal Pani jail?
