Warning memo/Termination

Hi folks, I've received warning memo from my unit HR as I'm not working in my current production support project and asking them to give me some development work or release me. I've 4+ years exp. In TCS now. Are they terminate me ? Can anyone help me or suggest me ?

Bro I m also facing same thing at work. I didn't knew when I joined tcs that they don't have development. As I was new I started with support and eventually asked them for development or release but after so much debate for release or development I came to know there is no development at all in tcs not even 40% almost 95% or more is support. So now after discussing so much with them and finally coming to know that I won't be getting release or development I m resigning in few days. I also don't have any offer but more I stay here I'll lose my skills for sure. I have already wasted my 2 yrs here can't waste more and due to 90 days notice period no company taking interviews also. So finally if I have to get out of this message I have to take risk and keep preparing.

Yes, you are correct bro. I also thinking about resignation and looking for opportunities at outside TCS. But current market situation is also not in favour and I'm very confused now what should I do and what not.

But they are saying that we have 40 % development work and 60 % support, so as of now start with support and then we will give you development too. But I've asked with senior and previous employee they confirmed that there is no development they only force you to join and then never give any opportunity to work in development.

And tr issue is I can't say this to hr otherwise they ask for name and colleagues will be in trouble and hence they are using tactics on me like sending memo and want me to join or resign but as of now I don't have any job in hand to resign, and hr using here power to down me any and how.

This is common. In most cases there won't be any development role and has to join support role. Else need to sit on the bench if they give release that is. If you're on the bench for more than some time, they will stop the salary and hence without any choice has to go for projects which they say. If your lucky you might get development which is rare.
