Wants to leave the project because I'm not compatible
Recently I joined a project in data engineering but I feel like I am not able to understand the queries and all that stuff is there any way to leave the project, everything is good I'm also getting wfh but not able to perform and I don't want client to scold me because data engineer was never my cup of tea I was good with frontend.
You should have made clear on the day 1. If you are fresher below 2 yoe. Then I’ll suggest to work your ass hard and learn everything and implement. I went through same phase where i spent lot of time everything for straight 2 months. This is very normal thing being a software engineer. Or if you are into another role for long and don’t want to mess up then it’s fine manager will understand it and released.. you might hear few bitching from them but that’s fine.
Yes I am a fresher but I joined tcs because I thought here i will not be getting so much of work load so i will be brush up my dsa and dev skills then switch from here. Worst part is i got ninja role that on nqt day the compiler didn't work and on aptitude basis i landed here. Data engineering is good i know if i work hard then i can learn bit to switch it will take me 2year to acquire all the skills and i do not have that much time when i joined i thought that i will switch within one year. I am good with coding skills i had already solved around 500 dsa questions and made some projects in mern also in ilp I have worked in startup in angular and springboard as an intern bit joined tcs for job security.
Now time is very tough in tcs.. you can’t play around saying this with the manager or RMG. Ask them to allocate appreciate skillset at least. State that this is not relevant to my career path and see what happens. I don’t see any other option for you.
