Trending @Cognizant; Want to switch project
I’m Programmer analyst, joined Cognizant in September 2024 under genc pro category. Had training (Aws,python) till December. Deployed into project(ETL Data migration dataflow) in February 2025. There was no KT given, asking us to work 12hrs a day and weekends and sometimes calls us on PTO also. There is no guidance will be given. Our team consists of 7 PA’s and 1 A, and 1SA(team lead) .TL only a puppet of AD(manages teams in our prj).TL treats us like servants. Monitors us for every hour, and also we need to update on our task thrice a day and also in standup if we miss he shouts at us and asks us to be on call throughout the day.There were no team dinners , no team outings and nothing . They just keep giving tasks after task, they don’t care about us. The TL blackmail us to work on weekends otherwise he will keep yelling at us personally through calls like ‘you will be noticed to higher authorities’. And the work I’m doing not at all related to my training or skill set( which CTS interviewed me on campus placement) Please give me suggestions and also if there are any openings please let me know
I know many PAs who have answered back to managers. Once you show them that you aren't afraid they get really quiet. These people bark like dogs. That's all.
If he yells at you and threatens you about higher authority, ask him to go ahead. they won't do sht. At most you'll be released from the project. You're not supposed to be working on weekends so there's nothing they can do especially when they are not paying for overtime.
You cannot change the project till you complete 18 months in cognizant from your date of joining
