Trending @Accenture; Want to switch career to UI/UX but feeling clueless, need genuine advice
(ASKING FOR A FRIEND)
Hi everyone, I’m in a completely non-technical role right now (mostly Excel, coordination), and I have around 2 years of experience. Recently I’ve become really interested in UI/UX, but honestly I feel super lost.
I’ve started learning Figma and want to build a portfolio, but I’m not sure how should I take it forward. I do have good interest in this field
My questions:
In today’s AI-heavy world, what’s the actual UI/UX job market like?
Besides Figma, what else do beginners really need to know to get noticed?
What steps should I take right now to properly transition into UI/UX?
How can I build a portfolio that actually helps me get a job?
Any pro tips you wish you knew when you started?
I’m really serious about moving into UI/UX, but I’m confused and honestly need help. Any advice would mean a lot.
Thanks in advance 🙏
