I want to get released from the project and completed 18 months as well and when I have discussed with my manager that I am looking for a new opportunity. He asked me I was not ready for the new role and asked me to stay 1 more year in the same project. So is there any right that the manager will stop us from getting allocated to different projects even if you have completed 18 months.
Don’t get released after release you may not be able to get into new project and if you have completed 2 years in wipro then after 45days in free pool you will be on LOP, So consider carefully.

Yes manager can reserve some percentage of the project staff who are critical for the project. But you can discuss with your manager and HR both if you want release.
