Having working in start ups from past 5-6 years, I would advise against it. Most of the start ups right now, in india, are not making money and have no visibility into making money. Below are a few other reasons:

  • Low Job security leading to stress & anxiety
  • Unrealistic expectations
  • Self-obsessed leadership/founder
  • Unnecessary hype for otherwise ordinary work
  • Only a handful are actually solving problems (rest are just trying to create offline businesses only)

As an outsider, you may feel there is lot to learn but I would recommend you to not fall into the 'grass is greener on the side' syndrome.
