Want to move back to NCR
Hey folks, I recently moved to Bangalore for a role at angel one and I am not liking the city. All my life I lived and worked in NCR and I’ve realised that me and my wife can’t live anywhere outside NCR. No friends in Blr plus far away from home plus its just too expensive.
Want to move back, I am looking for product rolesin NCR(SPM,GPM). Can someone help here with a referral? I have a very strong fintech background but can’t find anything for Ncr location on other platforms.
TIA

Can you describe more about the contrast in life in Banglore vs NCR ?
City in general is expensive, high rent, security amt, household purchases, going out, weekend getaways. Basically you’ll have to spend at least 20% more.
Travel back home needs planning and money.
Extremely poor infrastructure when compared to NCR. Going out anywhere is a hassle. Its almost like a tier 2 city.
Plus I don’t feel very homely here, maybe it is the language, food. Idk. People who have been to college here may relate more but I can’t and this is something I have been noticing across my friends who move from Delhi.
I can empathize. Infra is nowhere near NCR and since you're so used to the metro network.
Things are bright for Bengaluru nevertheless. Once the ORR metro is completed (2yrs, give or take a few months) the outlook will be very different.
South India is very beautiful and definitely worth traveling, even if it comes at a higher cost. Don't move back before visiting places like Coorg, Hampi, Kodai, Ooty, Wayanad, Pondi, to name a few.
Bengaluru is expensive because living near the ORR belt is similar to living in South Delhi or posh GGN. Try Kanakpura, Whitefield, E-city (even places in HSR). It's an added 20 minutes to your usual commute, but that's alright. It'd be the same if you were going from say Janakpuri to GGN for work.
I was in Bangalore from 2014 to 2021. Never thought i would go back to North India where my hometown is.
Bangalore was better than Mumbai, Pune and NCR for me. Covid forced me to WFH from my hometown for 2 years since 2021. This changed my whole perspective. Also reading all the latest issues on r/Bangalore had put me off.
Found a SPM role in NCR when RTO came knocking and I don't plan on returning to Bangalore. Points to note though: you have lesser job opportunities out here.
Finally someone I can relate to, I have declined multiple opportunities in Blr just because of the hustle, bustling crowd, poor infra and family responsibilities. Have lived all my life here at Ggn and just think quality of life is better here atleast in my case. Btw, there are multiple opportunities in Nodia/Ggn. All the best!
Indmoney is looking for people. You should try there.
