Amazon is hiring alot of FTC nowadays, so anyone please tell me, are there any chances of conversion? or they ditch you after year? good taking risk or not?

Pay is same or sometimes more for FTC from company side when compared to FTE (not including rsu). The level of interview will not even be 1/5th.
Role conversion is possible but you need to be exceeeeeeding expectations of the role you want to get converted too. On the other hand, ending the contract is easy peasy ( just 1 week is enough, no severance, no layoff news, no rsus, no other perks nothing).
Again if you are confident of exceeding the role expectations then go for it.
