Walmart vs Amazon Layoff

Walmart is Hiring aggressively but Amazon is firing employees even though Amazon is Bigger than Walmart

why is that ?

I believe Walmart is also doing it, but in different ways that's just simply not that visible. As in how Walmart owned Flipkart is firing, and Flipkart owned Myntra is cost cutting, on constant hiring freeze and forcing people to quit, silently firing and laying off.
