Trending @Infosys; Wait for promotion or Apply IJP ?

Hello Everyone, Im trying for IJP, when I inform my current manager before applying, he told me that they already forwarded recommendation for my promotion and based on criteria it will take some time, then the central team will decide. What should I do now. Please help me out.
