Last year I notified my line manager about my interest in moving up the ladder. Despite the efforts, results, feedback’s,etc. the one thing I’m always getting from “Leadership” via my manager during the discussions is that I am not visible. Is the work not enough to get the promotion which is deserved? Is it always necessary to be narcissistic rather than being committed to what I do? Has anybody faced a similar situation?

Take up some reporting work which is used by leadership. Easiest way to get visibility as they will reach out to you for the report frequently

If sent any solution email to client then put manager cc. If you get the appreciation email forward to manger and lead
