You'd think that but you're assuming they have shame. IT cells and trolls are already out promoting PT Usha (chair of the Indian Olympic association) for supporting Vinesh despite being one of the targets of the wrestler's protests.

Defeated Narendra Modi's ego? HOW? Did Modi bet against her? Or deny her a rightful place in the Olympics? Was the wrestler's protest successful? Or did it fail badly?
Defeated everyone who called her Anti-National? Who did? Every right thinking person called out the wrestler's casteist and vile political ambitions through the "protest". Rightfully so.
She has given such a resounding slapped to all the detractors and critics, specially all the blind and shameless BJP supporters who were criticising her and her friends during the protests.
The criticism was for engaging in casteism and being political aspirants while aligning with the INC. You can't ally with one side, deliberately spread propaganda, falsehoods and partake in dramatics and expect to be not called out by the others. It was precisely for not doing what the wrestlers were meant to do- wrestle.
The sad bit is we have to rely on these one-off surprise performances instead of being able to pull in a contingent with various medal shots. The whole fiasco even got the stalwarts to not qualify for the Olympics. Vinesh herself struggled to do so.
Yeah yeah, the shamelessness keeps showing up. Lots of round and round arguments will be given obviously now, all with due shamelessness.
Just because she wins madel doesn't make Brij Bhushan guilty of sexual assault. If he's guilty he should be punished regardless of the success or failure of Vinesh.
But again going deep in matter and talking sensibly can't be expected from the Indian public.
It's kind of a sad state of affairs because the audience here on grapevines are elite people in our society(top 2% to 3%) and if they can't understand simple facts what can be expected from others.
Yeah, like it is easier to believe that multiple International medal winners connived to make a false case; than to believe that a well known strongman could have actually committed some of those crimes!
She was sportsperson before and she is now so what changed now?
By that logic cricketers who are also sportsperson also can't do anything wrong

In fact I would say this is exactly what Vinesh should have done years back focusing on game then politics. He learnt it hard way in last Olympic came back stronger and I'll be rooting for her in Match but again winning madel in Olympic doesn't make someone automatic guilty of sexual assault
Every one of BJP supporters I know (including myself) is very happy that she is winning a medal. She is well within her rights to go against Brij bushan and what he did. Doesn't mean we don't want her to win a medal. Nation always comes first.
Many BJP supporters were claiming that she can’t win any more, she is trying to gain favours etc.
