My story is quite similar. I was always compared to a schoolmate who consistently came first and eventually got into a top IIT, while I ended up in a tier-5 college. We didn’t even hear about internships until the 4th year, and placements were never mentioned. I failed in my 4th year, had backlogs, and took extra time to complete my degree. Somehow, I managed to get into a small startup, worked hard, and improved my coding skills. Now, I earn as much as my IIT friends—actually, a bit more than them.

Exception != Norm

Whats a tier1 company lmao

Such bullshit lol. It's fake. Just karma farming

It's true many of my friends from tier-3 colleges are earning this much. Just search the total compensation of a Software Engineer 3 at FAANG like companies.

I get more depressed by seeing these posts ðŸ˜

I hate ppl like this

No matter how much you earn, it’s a job at the end. Would be really happy if people do businesses, employ others and then brag like this

That's the reality degree really doesn't matter as long aa you are skilled enough
