US to tax 5% on NRI remittances!
"Currently, India is the world’s top recipient of remittances, with around $83 billion sent annually from abroad, much of it from the United States. The new provision would mean that for every ₹1 lakh (in dollar terms) sent home, ₹5,000 (in dollar terms) would go to the IRS before reaching the intended recipients"
Any thoughts on how bad this would affect the Indian economy? On the positive side, I feel this would further contribute to stopping the brain drain.

Finally some good news. This would make Real estate investment a bit unattractive. wait for the panic amount babus and RE mafia.
Two reasons why people loving in India cannot afford a decent place :
- Babus and politicians - black money
- These pampered Green card people. pricing us out. These people buy it out of nostalgic feeling. They wont even live here.
