US shift is worse
I just wanted to share something and would really appreciate your advice. I’ve never worked in a US shift before, and after the recent daylight saving change, my schedule has completely switched to a core night shift. I have 1.5 years of experience in a domestic company, but since joining CG, I’ve been struggling to adjust to this timing. Day by day, I feel my health is deteriorating — I already have a fatty liver condition and low blood pressure, and now my appetite has almost disappeared because of the sudden shift in routine. I usually eat dinner and then end up skipping all other meals until the next day’s dinner. I might be overthinking, but this doesn’t feel like a sustainable work-life balance. At 26, I’m genuinely concerned about how this could affect my long-term health and career. Could you please suggest what might be the best approach for me in this situation?

You need to figure out your meals, awake times, sleep times.
E.g. when you sleep in the morning, need no disturbances, and no light For meal plan do check gpt, as it may have to be specific to your condition

Yes, Night shifts are always big. You might enjoy it now or may not feel the impact. But down the line it will impact your health.
