They have to respond in USA for sure.

They can do this forced resignations in India without getting questioned by any government entities because we don't have proper labour laws for IT workers.

But in USA they will need to save their face, specially in current Situation considering Trump.
They seems to be miscalculated that it will be easy to fire in USA but they forgot that they are not American company and will face the scrutiny.
