US based projects On-site opportunities

I have recently joined TCS with 5 yrs of experience but my client is US based and the manager has asked me to wait for around 1.5 yrs atleast as they told me about lottery system . My fiancé is working in Canada right now so I want to be there by the end of next year atleast Does that actually work like that ? Or they are fooling me ? Should I ask for release from the project and get in touch with RMG ?

As per the unsaid rule here, if you are a new joiner then you have to wait becoz older employees are first priority. If you want to break the queue then fight for it

Thanks but once we get the release can we ask for that from RMG ?
Will they consider it ?

Actually it is easier to get TCS apply for Canadian Visa rather than USA visa. If in a year you become an invaluable resource then you can ask them to apply for Canadian visa for you. Note: If your onshore is USA then for Canada you project should be operating from Canada as well i.e. near shore.
