
URGENT_Advice on Salary Discrepancy for the Same Role
Hi ,
I recently accepted a job offer for 17 LPA after attempting to negotiate with HR, who firmly stated that it was the maximum budget. However, after 1.5 months, I received a call for the same company same position again, and when I inquired about the budget, they mentioned 24 LPA. This came as a huge shock.
How should I handle this situation? Currently serving notice period at TCS.

You can reach out to HR and mention that you recently learned the salary for the same role has increased to 24 LPA. Politely ask if there’s a possibility to revisit your package considering the revised budget. If they refuse, you can refuse to accept the offer or you can still take the job for experience or explore better opportunities elsewhere.

Get a counter offer and bargain

You cant decide based on position. All same position wont have a same salary. It depends on lot if factors. It would be really silly to compare this to negotiate with HR.

No, I have confirmed with another HR that the position and role are the same. How should I negotiate now? If I ask, it would mean this HR is lying to me about this being the maximum budget.

HR won't entertain you without a counter offer. Get a better offer from another company and then approach for negotiation if you still wanna join Accenture.
