
Trending @Accenture; UPDATE: I complained about disrespectful behaviour by team lead
Last week, I posted a poll asking if I had made the right decision.
Result: That person has been warned about the behaviour. I did not receive any apology from that person. They decided to move me out of the team because of "conflict". Team lead already started delegating my responsibilities to others.
Just posting here so that others do not make such mistakes at least in Accenture no matter how right you are.

Never ever take the disrespect of the coworkers to the heart. You're not gonna spend your entire life with them. Be stoic. Just ignore those like you ignore the barks of the dogs from any streets. Do your job, get paid, live your life.
Why do you think you made a mistake by complaining ?

You did the right thing. But I myself am a Team lead and I am struck between reportees who don't work and I have to do both their work and mine all by doing. Eventhough i highlighted and asked for help regarding the same, my managers and onshore director humiliated me daily in front of 30 people in daily calls that I don't do work and even a junior resource can replace me. Funny thing i don't know then why they havent replace me. At this point, I became everybody's punch bag. The bare minimum that I expected was that my reportees let me know the status by dropping a simple message before they log off. I honestly don't know what am I doing wrong and it has taken a toll on my mental health. As it involves director level person I honestly don't know whom to raise concern.

Bro I also complained about disrespectful behaviour by my TL to my manager. And after I reported the TL stayed in his limits and there was no retaliation even. And after 1-2 months he was removed from the TL position. And after another 2 months the guys were out of the project. Wouldn't really say it was because of me reporting him but maybe the project/client requirements and how the management assessed him played the role but after reporting him not just me but the whole team was saved from his behaviour. Also it would never be a mistake that you reported him, Isn't it great that you are moving out of such a team where you are disrespected.

Buddy, you did the right thing. Everyone deserve respect and a healthy environment to work and grow. If you dont feel happy in team, how would you learn new things which is vital for our career.
From Business perspective, its easier to replace junior than a senior member which is older in the team specially when all other team members are ok with the person.
Just a personal thought, it take two to tango. Take same self time and analyze what could have been done better at your end. What could have trigged him/her to go againt you. Your analysis will make you even better of a human being.
