Unreasonable Expectations and Denied Release Request
I’m currently stuck in a project where my manager claims that my performance is low and has now asked me to micro-manage employees working in other shifts. This includes regularly logging in — even on weekends — to monitor how tasks are being handled.
I also have a personal life, and when I requested a release from the project, he refused, stating that the client wouldn’t allow it. I find this confusing — I’m working for TCS, and so is my manager, so why is client permission required for an internal release?
Moreover, he threatened to raise an exception under my name if I don’t comply with these unrealistic expectations. He even said outright, “You can resign if you want,” which clearly feels like an indirect attempt to force me out of the project.
