Unfair Targeting from a Team Lead
There's a senior member in my team who serves as a lead (kind of). He consistently tells me not to come in late to the office, despite the fact that he and many others often arrive after I do. It seems like he specifically targets me, and I can't understand why.
Recently, when he confronted me again about being late, we ended up having a heated argument because I pointed out that he also arrives late. This time, I just acknowledged him and ignored the comment to avoid escalation. He mentioned that my punctuality would affect my appraisal, but honestly, I'm not particularly concerned about that.
I'm looking for advice on how to handle this situation. Arguing with him could lead to more targeted issues, which I want to avoid. However, staying silent feels unfair, especially since my colleagues also recognize that he singles me out. I want to maintain peace without feeling unjustly treated.
What's the best way to deal with this?

As long as you are working diligently, show him his place dude. You will find douches everywhere. It is OK to stand up against idiots.

My manager doesn't care about login and logout. He just wanted to complete work on time.
