Under what circumstances should you quit your job without another offer in hand?
When your dad runs a successful family business
When you’ve stopped eating, sleeping, and the mere mention of work, colleagues or manager gives you anxiety and you feel like life is not worth living. Quit it. I am speaking from personal experience. Jobs WILL come. But the damage to yourself is not worth it.
Before the job breaks you.
When you are burnt out and need some time off to focus on your well being. In fact all the 3 times I resigned from my previous job, I took a break for 6 months before applying for a new role
Under no circumstances should you do that. I was laid off with a notice period of one month and the pressure to find another job is unbearable. Find another job and then quit.
Unbearably toxic work environment. But in current market scenario it's better to quit with offer, instead of extreme pressure on yourself.
