Unacademy layoffs have begun 🤡

Unacademy has just laid off the entire team of NextLevel and will be shutting the business.

It is interesting to note that Relevel underwent a major pivot after failure and was rebranded to NextLevel. Gaurav apparently blindly wrote how this product will take on LinkedIn and make CV's redundant.

Guess another unacademy experiment has failed but several employees are facing the brunt of the CEO's immature experimental nature.

@Superinvestor: They have multiple experimental products but currently only offline centers are doing well. Test Prep and other experiments such as NextLevel, Cohesive are doing poorly.

The decline in Test prep and other categories is settled by growth in Offline Centers. However on a group level revenue has not grown. Adding to this, they haven't been getting funding at the current valuation.

The future looks bleak, especially when the poster child byjus is suffering.
