Trending @Accenture; Unable to understand why accenture is not doing hike again continuously

Unable to understand why accenture is doing so with it's employees continuously now for 5 cycles. Even when this company was known for it's as a high payer company in market.

This is not only with Accenture. The entire IT ecosystem is facing slowdown due to less spending by clients or less demand. You might have heard the news of other MNCs delaying appraisals or cutting variable pay of senior employees.

These big MNCs are not announcing layoffs but doing silent firing or delaying appraisals.

The attrition rate is at peak and new hirings are bare minimum.

Accenture is currently spending more on acquisitions to expand its vertical and securing future of company. Current situation will improve but by when no one here in accenture can answer.

So should we stay in accenture only and wait till the situation gets improved?

What should be the approach that SE/SSE level employees take?

Hi Sir/Maam, could you please let me know if i put paper tomorrow. Will my hike or variable pay be reversed? And any hikes this time?

See Accenture budget for GenAI, Accenture thinks employees can be replaced by AI, so they want everyone to leave.

It's not that in my view , it's a well placed bet to tap future revenue.

It's not AI for Accenture .

It's AI ready for business.

Also when customer used to pay 100 , you could have thought of legacy delivery with 10 ppl

Customers wants to pay 50, without bringing X factor you can't demand 70. And retain 6/10 talent.

Yes, so Accenture doesn't need so many employees in the next 5-10 years, so they want employees to leave gradually. In the last month in Leadership call I had asked about rising attrition, and leadership is not worried about attrition. Leadership is in view, that work which is being delivered by 10 people can be delivered using 2 people using AI, so 80% saving in cost they are aiming for.

Entire IT world is impacted due to:

  • wrong projection of post Covid IT demands
  • less client projects, clients playing very less upfront. Payments are more milestone based
  • adoption of AI based systems
  • VC investing more in AI based smaller product companies

Specific with Accenture:

  • bulk hiring post covid with very high packages specially in top management
  • AFS project (8% revenue) loss due to trump’s decision

Then what one should do...watching all these things and stay silent and keep doing the work in same company?

Unhe samjh aagya , kisi ko koi fark nahi pad rha h, everyone still doing jobs coming office, why then a need to increase salary?

It's not that , Pay size compared to Earnings margin is very tight.

If there is pay hike for everyone , it is a problem.

Another problem is what you expect from L10 is being delivered by one at L9/ L8.

L7 are doing L9 level work , so while pay has increased , maturity at level has gone down.

Many L8/L9 are just individual contributors rather than leading a team.

COVID basically screwed pay structure & growth big time.
