Uber stocks lowball

Does anyone have any idea if companies have started lowballing engineering candidates due to a surplus of talent.

Recently I have observed that Uber is giving much less stocks to L4 (swe 2) ,

They used to give 80k USD as stocks before even if u had no competing offer. Now they are not budging above 50K USD.

Anyone else faced the same issue?
