Uber/Ola in Amritsar

You don’t need an uber/ola in Amritsar probably since you can get auto/rickshaws easily. Also there are free rides to golden temple from Railway station and people are good there. Have a safe and happy trip.

Ola/Uber are both easily available but I'll suggest going with an auto rickshaw or normal rickshaw especially when you are in the area around Golden Temple otherwise you will be stuck in traffic.

The city is quite safe, and is active in the night too since many visitors go to the golden temple in the evening/night also.

Just keep a dupatta and cover your head in religious places. That's all.
