Trying for a switch

I have completed 1 year and 6 months in TCS, I am thinking to switch, Have relevant experience in python data science and machine learning. Recently got tagged in a project which is totally South to my interest and i see no growth here. I have applied in many companies but not getting shortlisted. Cay you guys help me with some tips and how can i tackle my 3 months notice period.
