
Trust is broken. Unwritten understanding is broken.
For decades, there was an unwritten/undeclared understanding or agreement between long term TCSers and TCS management:
We won't pay you good hikes. We won't pay you good bonuses. We will cut your QVA as much as we like. But, we won't fire you regardless of the circumstances.
Hundreds of thousands of long term TCSers have accepted this deal and stayed in the company for job security.
But now the understanding is broken. The trust is broken. Now TCSers will not accept low hikes and will develop plan B, plan C. Many will leave.

Correct. This was sort of gentleman's agreement. But the bottomless greed of the CxOs broke it. Yes we long timers will suffer today, but the organisation has put a nail in its coffin. It is going to be a long painful death.

Yes. This year's 98% may become next year's 2%.
