Trump and Tarrifs
- Before US elections, there was an murder attempt on Trump. Is the real culprit caught? Is it not a staged attempt by Trump himself to get sympathy and get elected?
- Nomination for Nobel peace prize? Russia and Ukraine war truce failed, Israel war still going on, staged truce between Armenia and Azerbaijan (First truce happened and then only they were invited to white house to publish offical news) and finally no involvement in India-pakistan peace treaty. So what's his big achievement?
- Lost tariff war with China after the ban on rare earth metals. So he was not able to achieve anything hence he diverted attention towards India?
- Pakistan nominated him for the Nobel and trade agreement for oil? What is his achievement for Nobel nomination and is there really oil in Pakistan?
- If Tarrifs are implemented, is the US public not at a loss? Who is the final user on imported products into USA?
- Imports are done by EU and USA also from Russia, but only India is targeted. Solution for this?
- If Indian people avoid using US brands like Mc'd, KFC, coke etc will this work?
These are some of my internal thoughts which are open for discussion.
Mcd, kfc etc are operated by Indian companies.
Not using them would hurt Indians more. Mcd, kfc etc do have royalty and licensing fees. But these businesses, I would treat differently than US goods etc.
Would suggest going local and boycotting businesses wisely as you could be incorrectly impacting Indians only
Yes operated by Indians but royalty goes to US and Trump should feel how to behave with India. Obviously we are dependent on US but it's the same with US as India is a big market for US interms of Apple, Meta etc. Even Telsa is new to India and by boycotting these products US will know heat of this
True But mcd, kfc etc share just single digit earnings with USA counterparts.
Completely aligned boycott usa based products. However, exercising caution as blind boycott would harm our own.

Agreed. Because of his egoistic attitude most of them are suffering. I believe stronger BRICS co-operation would be helpful
Why doesn't anyone nominate Pakistan for the Nobel Peace prize, if Trump is eligible then it should be shared with Pakistan 😛
Day by day this irritation from Trump is becoming intolerable.
