I love baigan ka bharta.
As I was getting ready to travel back from my hometown to the city where I work, my mom (as usual) packed loads of snacks and other food items for me. She was going through all the stuff she had packed, making sure that everything was properly sealed and packed.
That's when I said, "mummy aapne baigan ka bharta nahi baandha?"
My parents looked at each other, and without saying a word, they both rushed to the kitchen. I realised that only half an hour was left for me to leave the house, i was yelling "it's fine, I'm coming back again next month".
Withing a span of 20-25 mins, my mom made rotis, and my dad made the bharta, as you can see in the picture, which I'm gorging on as I write this post. 🥺
Since then I've been listening to AR Rehman's 'Luka Chupi'. One line I'm relating as I'm heading towards the city where I work from that song is "Yaha sab kuch hai maa fir bhi Lage tujh bin mujhko akela".
This is the definition of unconditional love ❤️🩷
Grateful and blessed ❤️🧿
