

It's funny but not true at all.. not all village farmers are earning good IMO.. also standard of living is not great either .. ofcourse its more of a question of self fulfillment... What works best for you... But i can almost guarantee almost all of the techies would not want to be farmer..

Nope. As a techie with considerable ancestral land managed by a parent, not even close. Unpredictable rains, prices for produce and the considerable investment needed for each crop, breaking even is the most common outcome. It is a thankless profession which is only gonna get harder with climate change. Clean air is the only point I would agree to in the image.
The best combination would be an IT professional working from home in ancestral land (as long as you get broadband). That is indeed a dream combination. But the land must either be managed by others (a parent) or the crop should be a low involvement one like coconut grooves or mango grooves.

The best thing is farmer pays 0 tax on his agricultural income.
