Trending @Cognizant; Tru Time Nonsense
I have worked in three organizations. I have nowhere seen this kind of nonsense where your punch in/punch out time is noted. It feels like we are labors who go to construction site punch their card, work, punch out and at the end of the day they get paid..These are the kind of bad practices which I feel is very unethical.
Your thoughts?

I think every relatively big company does this in the service space... Some small companies also do it...you have the option to fill in missing hours with top up and I think some hours it gets auto approved. Depends on how many days you go to the office... You might want to raise it with your pm if you are so uncomfortable with this. Also I don't think your pay is linked with your trutime...

Our hike and Go Perform is linked with it. Also, Capgemini, Ibm, Sapient many others don't do it. I have the issue with noting of time. Tracking if the card was punched or not that's fine but noting time of punch in and punch out..it's a unhealthy thing.

Imho It's only unhealthy if your manager is micro managing you to the hour... I know of companies installing time tracker software and even some clients do it... I suppose at EOD the majority of projects allow top-ups until people start misusing it because they focus on delivery and not time spent by associates in the office or in front of the computer.. is your manager a micro manager?

We have no thoughts on it
