Trending @Wipro; Yearly hike and promotions.
I am new in Wipro. Wanted to know how much average yearly hike do we get? Also after how many years do we get promoted to next band? What does promotion depends on?
Hike : 5-15% hike during the MSI in December depending on ratings in yearly appraisal n budget of ur project Promotion: after 2 yrs in Wipro ur manager can nominate u for promotion provided u hv been preforming exceptionally well n got 4-5 ratings consistently but the decision lies with the higher ups so it's very hard to get promoted. Also even if u get promoted I heard the hike is very less.
Thanks for the insight... What is MSI? Is it appraisal?
MSI is merit based salary increment....it happens around dec (started by Wipro since last yr). Tbh no-one is sure abt what the eligibility criterion is for all the cycles which go on throughout the year. It all just depends upon how pleased ur manager is with ur performance.
