Trending @Wipro; Wipro management has issue of lobbying for South. Do you feel any reality in it?

I have received this sense of hatered from my manager who is a South Indian and have always seen him showing leniency for Engineers from South India. It can be anything like un-timely leaves for them, appraisal or pushing them forward in front of the client to earn rapport for them for anything that went vaguely right. I have also spoken with multiple engineers here and it seems to be a prevalent thing across the board.
