Trending @Wipro; What are your opinions on the new role-based promotions?
They say work on a higher role for 3-9 mnths and then get promoted automatically. So how frequently can we do that? Does the 2 years in same band policy still apply? Nothing is explained in that mail clearly.

Whats the meaning of n+1 suppose if I'm in band B1 THEN I should do what to get promotion?

Take up B2 responsibilities and after 3-9 mnths they might decide to finally give u the raise for that role otherwise u are back to B1 again. That's what I understood so far!

What if I fail to full fill those responsible? Is there any action also when I can try again

You need to play n+1 role for 3-9 months. If you perform well your L1 will send the nomination. HR will take the decision in discussion with your manager for promotion.

In that case they may just reject the nomination later on by giving some or the other excuse.

Dry promotion. No guarantee to get actual promotion after the period.

Nothing work bro....all are just game...L1,PM and HR will just play around you on promotion and you will get only if you are so lucky

.. let me illustrate.. in normal scenario if you have to get promotion you have to spend minimum of 18 to 24 months depending on the band, to skip this logic they bought the new rule as playing n+1 role will give chance to get promoted, for avoiding the minimum time to spend. Apart from this rest all other rules will still apply.. like clearing the my skill z exam.

Unclear to me as well
