Trending @Wipro; Someone please help me out.

I have been working in a support project for the past year where weekly rotational shifts are mandatory, but there is allowance only for night shifts. Since December, I’ve been facing serious health issues — including acidity, hormonal imbalance, very low Vitamin D3(under 10), calcium, and B12 levels. After consulting a gynecologist and undergoing tests, it was found that I have a yeast infection in one ovary and the other is slightly enlarged. My condition has worsened over time, and now it is also triggering eczema, which is heavily influenced by lifestyle factors like irregular sleep cycles. Due to low Vitamin D3 and overall health, I am even facing difficulty sitting for long hours. When I requested my manager for release from the project due to these health concerns, I was told to provide a written note from a doctor. However, when I asked my gynecologist, she refused to give a written recommendation. Her reasoning was that although I have hormonal imbalance, it can be treated with medication over 4–5 months, and that in professions like healthcare, night shifts are unavoidable. We can give in written only when you are pregnant or your condition is worse. But does that mean I have to suffer until my condition becomes severe?

What’s worse is the inconsistency and unfairness in management. When I asked for release, I was told I would be put on a PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) or should consider resigning. But resigning is totally my call, isnt it??? On the other hand, when another colleague requested to avoid night shifts due to medication, she was simply told she would be released from the project. Why this double standard?

This project has a toxic work environment, no learning opportunities, and no growth. Even after years, the work remains the same. I feel completely stuck, mentally drained, and physically unwell. At this point, it’s becoming unbearable. I genuinely want to move out of this project, but I’m being pressured unfairly. Has anyone else faced something like this? What should I do in this situation?

Please write about this to the ombudsman. Also try reaching out to a different doctor for a note.

Send an email explaining your health condition and get a complete health check up done with your vitamin levels etc.

Try to get written note/ prescription from a doctor in your hometown or from your parents.

Next send an email to your manager and HR in CC, asking for a general shift and excuse you from night shifts. If the conversation is offline ask it put it in writing.

Whats your financial situation like? If you can survive without job for few months id take a break tbh. Sounds stressful af.

I thought same but I'll be completing 2yrs in month of may. Because of recession i already got my joining late. I don't want any further gap in my career. That is why I'm worried. Financial condition is okay. I can live here 3-4 months easily here. But even after resigning i have to be in same project till my last woeking day.🥲
