Trending @Wipro; Query Related to Role based Promotion

Hi i joined wipro in may 2022 as project engineer but till now i did not get promoted yet , Now Role based Promotion policy i did not understand much HR is saying that you need to stay on that new role for 9 months then you will get promotion?This really sucks

In other companies there are automatic promotion after 3 years is this rules applies in wipro also?

Anyone got promoted from role base promotion can you please share your experience please?
