
Trending @Wipro; Poor rating after hard work
I am working since last 3 years , I am continuously billable, I do the best i get the appreciation from my client. Based on my work, but in here wipro manager they even don't know what we do and what is our work, they only came into picture when they need some information from you. Btw in appraisal meeting I have explained everything to my manager what I do and manage my work, also updated him that my workload is high and still I am managing task and doing delivery on times. And lack of time he want me to study on weekends for this stupid certification which make no sense to me.And eod the reasons will be for poor rating is not able to complete skill tags.
He write all good points in comment but he rated only :3 star.
Which means I am average performer since last 2 years.
If I am getting a same rating means it's not my failure but it's my manager failure who not improved me or not cabaple to enhance my performance.
I believe karma will play a good role with him, I don't compromise in my belief 🙏

This sounds like a common thing in wipro. The person who gives rating is totally unaware of what work is being done. The only one who succeeds here are 'yes man'. Just people who say yes to everything and manage the managers ego are able to do well here. Hard work and good client testimonials mean nothing for them.

That what going on and it's hurts so bad

They hv Rating optimization in Wipro so even the managers have to optimize rating for employees based on their band. Ex - They cannot give 5 rating to all the employe who hv performed well but are in same Band. However they can gv gd rating if Bands are different. They are also supposed to put ppl on question gv improvement plans, some minimal count for the same is there I guess. 3 is easy way out and yes I dnt think it differs much on how much it's going to appraise Everything sucks in private companies..

I asked why I got only three reply was very funny , then I also replied thank you for letting me know

Even after working for more than 12 to 15 hour per day my manager is like your performance is worth only 2 star and wanted to assign me to PIP.
