Trending @Wipro; Night Shift Allowance
Hello Folks,
I recently joined Wipro and I'm in training phase right now... But, Leads and Managers have told us in training phase you won't be able to get night shift allowance.
I'm in USA based project and mine shift timing is 6 pm to 3:30 am, can anyone tell me why we are not eligible for night allowance in training phase?
Check mytime if time starts from 5pm ist ur eligible by default
I believe night allowance is provided to confirmed employees and since you're in training, there is a good probability that post your probation, you'll be getting the night allowance. In the meantime check with HR
I have double checked my offer letter but there is 3 months notice period from day 1 and there is nothing mentioned like probation period.. so according to policy i guess I'm eligible for the allowance? Right?
No matter it's a training phase or working phase .. night is night for all in my opinion and everyone has right to ask for it

Do we need to apply for shift allowance? Or will it be credited automatically as per time card?
Check your billability, and whether you are tagged under the project. If you are billable and tagged then you should be receiving the shift allowance. Also in my time your shift has to be mapped in the correct time period.
