Trending @Wipro; Mismatch skill map and Pip closed with unsatisfied

Hi everyone,

I need your assistance. My manager agreed to release me, but he closed my PIP with unsatisfactory comments. The problem is that they reassigned me to an L2 support role, which involves technologies I have never worked with because my tech stack is different.

Now, HR is asking me to resign, and if I don't, they will terminate me.

Has anyone faced this problem before? Any suggestions you have might help me tackle this issue.

Thanks.

IMO its better to get fired with severance pay than resigning on your own with no job lined up. You can start searching for another job ASAP and keep them waiting. Stall them by giving some personal reason, family member is sick, etc. As soon as you get another job then you can resign.

I'd never resign on my own in this market without another offer in hand. If you get terminated, bad luck, but outcome is still the same as if you resign without an offer.

Skill mismatch is common, but that is nothing to do with PIP.
