On what basis are the laptops assigned to NGA's? Like my whole batch (mar 2025)was assigned HP and Lenovos and the batch which came after 10 days in the same CRS domain as ours was provided with mac books. Also can we ask for mac books for that matter?

They will assign whatever they want and it won't change until it stops working. The only option you have is SWAP. Ask if someone wants to swap his/her mac with your non-mac laptop voluntarily. After getting written consent over email, you will then have to contact local IT team for further steps.
