Yes mandatory...apart from it u need 4/5 ratings in the past 3 yrs and time diff of 2 yrs or 18 mnths for b3 and below ig from last promotion.....it's better if u check the promotion cycle mail u have received...they attach a link which has explained all the criterion clearly.
