Trending @Wipro; Coverage for cataract surgery

Hi, My Mom had her right eye cataract surgery last week and as per policy 90% (32500) was covered by insurance. Today we initiated request for cashless transactions for her left eye surgery. But i got approval for only 27000 though the surgery cost was same. As per policy they cover max of 36000 per eye. Then why is this discrepancy in coverage. Any idea?

Looks like there's a mistake in the approval process. You should definitely contact your insurance provider and get this sorted out. They should cover the full amount as per policy. 💯

Thanks for your reply. I contacted and they said that this is initial approval. Once the actual cost and discharge summary is submitted amount will be approved as per policy. Let’s hope that’s the case..🤞
