Trending @Infosys; Why did IBM rejected me saying Infosys is 💩

Applied at IBM for a SDE-1 level role and the HM literally said to my face that I was performing better than most Infy folks she has interviewed. I asked why so she said that the talent bar is low at Infy and people in industry think that we are outdated. I got the offer but I obviously rejected the offer because it was only 15% hike. What do you even think?

@NimbleEase8 I know right? She was trying to act oversmart saying that most people who interview with IBM from Infosys are not even real CSE graduates. Rather they do weird BTechs. What does that even mean?

Seriously guys we should not let our ego hurt and see this as a feedback. I feel we should definitely work harder, upskill and make a switch to a good employer because I actually believe that Infosys is actually a very bad employer in terms of maintaining a good relationship with its employees

Its not about good or bad. Its about individual perceptions. Every where same kind of people. If u ve a good project and good manager go ahead or move on.

What I think here is the HM is playing a mind game. She has planted in your brain that all emp are kind of Junk in Infosys. But you are smart so I am taking you IN and giving you 15%. We usually don't recruit from Infosys but you are one lucky guy.
If the talent bar is low Infosys will not survive the market.

It's a fact that infy is unable to retain the talent, and as well all know that aggressive hiring has happened in the last 2 years. These low quality resources are a burden on the bench as well in the project.

Mainly because of covid, such a situation is observed here in infy and in other companies where people were hired aggressively.

Also, Infy is not able to retain good talent now. That's a major concern. It's a red flag.
