Trending @Infosys; Whom I need to ask wfh permission

I need work from home because my father’s health is not good. I have to take care of him personally. He has a disability in his hand, so I need to be with him all the time.

Whom should I ask for this permission – the manager or HR?

Long back, I asked my manager and he gave permission for only one month. But I need a permanent solution for my problem, as it’s a genuine reason.

Please advise me.
