Please help me in understanding which ELSS mutual fund is great for investing which is eligible to tax savings. You are starting with the wrong goal!! Don’t look at short term when going for mutual funds. Low risk and good returns don’t go hand in hand. Money market mutual funds are low risk, short term and give rates just a bit better than savings. If your are a newbie start with index ETF which will track NSE/Sensex like the one from zerodha. To be honest the market is so hot right now we never know when it will explode but if you wait too long you may miss the boat. So start a sip in index ETF. And if there a big fall in near future park in some lumpsome
