Trending @Infosys; What will be repercussions of the lagging project on me?

I joined two months ago as an Associate Consultant. I spent the first month on the bench and was onboarded to a project a month ago.

Fast forward to today, nearly every team on our project is falling behind the deadlines.

How might this reflect on me? To be honest, I'm concerned about my job security, especially since I’m still on probation.

Could you offer any suggestions on how I might navigate this situation or improve my standing in the project?

Unless your performance is not satisfactory or any cause from your side which will be a problem to other projects also, you need not to worry. The worst case, you'll be released back to the bench, but manager(s)/management will find you another project soon. Try your best and forget the rest.

Definetely a management issue. In my project we were overloaded with work. Some seniors coped up but there are more juniors who work relatively slower. But management wants everyone to deliver same amount of work regardless of their experience. There was nothing like 'planning ahead'. Until they understood that, project came to completion and major functionalities were missed. Now we asked to work on weekends to fulfil all requirements before a hard deadline.
