Trending @Infosys; What may be the reason behind adding to PIP?
If the manager gives an underperformer or less rating we will be added to PIP or is the rating alone decided we will be added to PIP? What will be the next steps if he added me to PIP? Will we be terminated if we fail the PIP? I'm thinking he will give me a bad rating because we fought so hard last week because he talked to me in a harsh way about leave and I raised a complaint also. Now I'm thinking that he will give me a bad rating.

How to handle PIP smartly
If you want, I can help you frame a response or strategy, but here’s the basic survival plan:
- Don’t panic — ask for documented, measurable goals
If goals are vague, you can negotiate. Ask: “What exact measurable metrics need to be achieved to clear the PIP?”
- Keep everything in writing
Email confirmations protect you later.
- Prepare weekly updates
Show progress. It helps you clear PIP or strengthens your case if things go unfair. 4. Parallelly start job search
Always.

Employees are often pushed into a PIP during appraisal to justify low ratings, manage budget constraints, document performance issues for HR, or due to manager bias, misalignment, or conflicts.

But even if we work well they will give those types of ratings... Don't know why they behave like that

With NI rating by default you will goto PIP. You will be kept in pip for certain amount of time and tell you complete some courses and certifications and you need to do it.
You won't get performance bonus/ won't be eligible for IJP or any other projects and promotions for 1 year. To be frank it's a black mark in infy.
Better use that time and switch.

Actually you can use this scenario to your advantage bro. If given less rating then raise a complaint saying that he gave bad rating bcz of personal fight. You can argue you have done good work

Looking to change company... They are using me and Infosys become toxic too these days😢😢😢

I faced similar issue related to leave one but though it was silent exchange over mail. My appraiser told I will be getting NI rating. Now when I asked about next process he was answering correctly and talking around the bush. He told some course something like that which I assume is PIP only.

They didn't gave Rating yet? I mean you didn't receive any mail? After that HR will contact us and tell us what will be the next process? Infosys has become so toxic these days

Fighting with manager alone can’t be reason for PIP unless you don’t have any positive feedback recorded for your work. If on paper you have done well on your goals then also chances are less. Most people take their goals lightly and most managers also don’t put people to task as long as project work is good. But in situation like this managers can take advantage and rate you less . So always make sure you understand your goals clearly and negotiate on them. And try to set it yourself rather than let manager do it
