Trending @Infosys; What is the basis for Progression or Promotion?
Is the progression/promotion based on your yearly performance or is it after being in a certain role for months ? Or entirely based on your manager ? I did see some getting promoted within 1 year of joining out of which they have worked only for 4 months on a project 🤔

Some managers may be very lenient or eager to keep folks happy, some may have very high parameters for performance and some may be very lazy. So there is no one rule. There is minimum experince and role maturity criteria before promotion and progression can given. But if that is followed everyone should become CEo in 20 years!!. A lot also depends on the individual how much he markets himself, small things can blown up and show. As great. But if managers is nit skilled enough to see through it he will fall for it and eventually pay for it. And the there are others who do very well but don’t market themselves at all and end up being losers . Folks who do more than just project work always get higher visibility in front of management and better their chances for growth.

Yea , it might be the case. I guess I have to play in the balance of both worlds enough to be recognised. The only appreciation I receive is system generated 😂 (my manager rarely appreciates my work)

Depends on the team size.. if your team is small you will get without begging.. if team size increases all unnecessary parameters will come into picture
